The waves have been calm, but not anymore the team at Finetic EDC is finally back and producing our products! At some point over the past year or so you have expressed interested in our Tide Coin and we have some exciting news if you are still interested.
Hi there, you may or may not know me, but my name is Joshua and am the owner/creator behind Finetic EDC. It has always been a small family operation here from the beginning and the past bit has been hectic. Battling a day job and a few health issues have meant that running and pushing forward with production and growth has been an uphill journey. I’ve always wanted to return to pursue this passion of creation and with the help of a new manufacturing partner I can finally get back to it.
This new CNC shop has offered to help us not only production but also fulfillment. This means that we can focus on designs, customization and providing the family like customer service we know some of you have grown to love. So let’s get down to business and go over where we are starting!
The Tide Returns
The Tide Pool has been our most requested product to bring back and it’s why you are receiving this email. Today we will officially open up pre-orders for them! We will keep preorders open as long as we can, however once we lock in the initial batch there is a chance we could sell out! Our new shop is anticipating about a month to produce and start shipping them out to you. I hope this launch goes smooth but there may be a few bumps along the way. Ensuring you are kept updated on estimated delivery dates and how the batch is progressing will be my top priority.

FAQ
What if I have a Tide with an Issue?
I will still be handling all customer service aspects of this. Any issues will be sent to me and I will address them ASAP. Simply call 480-469-9622 or email info@fineticedc.com
What about your other products/options?
I still have plans to bring back the Shoreline bolt action pen, our knuckle roller series, and other designs I have been sitting on. If everything goes smooth with this I am hoping to to release the Tide in some new variations and metals as well. These are completely dependent on the success of this initial relaunch though so time will tell.
What is Delrin?
Delrin, or Polyoxymethylene (POM), is a material I always wanted to make the Tide in. In fact I have some samples here and it’s quickly became my favorite material. It is a type of thermoplastic that is well known for it’s high strength, hardness, and rigidity. That means extra snappy and consistent clicks compared to any other material I’ve tried. If you have had an acrylic it is similar to them, but I notice it’s a bit smoother and a little quieter. Quieter only in sound though as it is just as tactile.
How long will lasering take?
So that is the one thing I’ve gotten a lot better over the past year. Messing with my engraver when I have some free time and I’ve gotten really amazing results. If you order a lasered unit though, keep in mind they will need to ship to me first, engraved, and sent out to you. This could add a few extra weeks to your delivery date.
